Mr. Schmidt is a Telecom Industry Expert for Value Sourcing Group. He has over 35 years of telecommunications experience serving large commercial & government clients, including the last 12 years performing wireless & telecommunications consulting services.
For 13 years, Mr. Schmidt served in AT&T’s corporate division, and as National Sales Director, led Telecom sales and support for Fortune 1000 clients in AT&T’s Global Markets and Large Business divisions. Mr. Schmidt later helped establish AT&T Wireless in the South Central region.
For 10 years, he led new business development and national program management solutions for the largest global corporations in the five-state South Central area, including two of AT&T’s largest wireless corporate clients.
Prior to joining AT&T, Mr. Schmidt excelled in business solution sales for Xerox Corporation, (recruited off campus).
He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration.
Mr. Schmidt has received extensive telecommunications training from the industry leaders; also earning certifications in Mobile Data, Data Networking, Industry Consulting and Project Management.
